F.B.I. intense investigation

While cursing Orbusmax I ran across this story;
Band Banned from Performing' Louie Louie '

Some thing struck me funny about this one paragraph. I had this vision of a bunch of F.B.I. agents gathered around a phonograph (that's a record player for you youngsters) trying to decipher the lyrics to Louie Louie changing speeds, writing down notes, like a bunch of monkeys playing with a foot ball. The F.B.I. did this for two years. "No time line given"
Ever hear of sheet music?

To come up with a report to turn in to ???? Congress? The Justice Department? the President? What was the point?

Remember when some folks wanted Louie Louie to become Washington's, State Song?
BY Roy Boy

"Louie Louie," written by Richard Berry in 1956, is one of the most recorded songs in history. The best-known, most notorious version was a hit in 1963 for the Kingsmen; the FBI spent two years investigating the lyrics before declaring they not only were not obscene but also were "unintelligible at any speed."
